World's most beloved mouse turns 89

Curious Critters

Hot Dog, Mickey Mouse, it’s your birthday! Since Mickey’s debut in Steamboat Willie in 1928, he has fascinated children and adults alike, bringing out the inner child in us all. While Mickey will always be near and dear to our hearts, most of us would agree that he is the only mouse we want visiting our home.

As the weather turns colder, mice and other critters are looking for places to over winter. Don't let your home become their home. Follow a few basic pest control tips to keep them out, or let Cingo help you with an all inclusive pest protection plan.

  1. Rubbermaid is your BFF. Seeing that mice typically enter homes in search of food, water and shelter, you can deter them by storing food, unused clothing and clutter in airtight plastic containers.
  2. Don’t give them an inch! Mice only need a quarter-inch gap to enter your home. Be sure to seal any exterior opening that could give them easy access.
  3. Here kitty kitty! Consider adopting a cat. Visit your local animal shelter to find a spunky new addition to your family who can also keep the rodent population at bay.

If you found these tips helpful, be sure to download the Pest Tips eBook and share it with a friend. Of course, if you ever find yourself with a pest control problem or are interested in comprehensive pest protection, contact Cingo.  Our newly opened Sandy Springs office provides pest control in Atlanta.
